                              RESOLUTION NO. 21589
                 
                 
                 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT 
                 OF ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FOUR THOUSAND FIVE 
                 HUNDRED DOLLARS ($174,500.00) TO FAO, ARMY 
                 ENGINEER DIVISION, FOR THE CITY'S SHARE OF A 
                 BANK STABILIZATION PROJECT AT TENNESSEE 
                 RIVERPARK, PHASE I.
                 
                 
                                                     
                 
                 
       	    	 WHEREAS, the Corps of Engineers is ready to proceed with 
       the remainder of a bank stabilization project at Phase I of the 
       Tennessee Riverpark at a total cost of $997,200.00; and
       	    	 WHEREAS, the Corps of Engineers will contribute 
       $648,200.00 toward the total cost, the County of Hamilton will 
       contribute $174,500.00 toward the total cost and the City of 
       Chattanooga will contribute $174,500.00 toward the total cost;
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that there be and is hereby authorized 
       payment in the amount of $174,500.00 to FAO, Army Engineer 
       Division, for the City's share of a bank stabilization project at 
       Tennessee Riverpark, Phase I.
